A warm meal a day at Mende Primary

Mende Primary sits on a red-earth lane in northern Wakiso. Two-thirds of its pupils arrive without breakfast. Our kitchen serves posho, beans and seasonal vegetables every weekday.

Attendance has risen 38% since the meals program began. Mid-day fainting has stopped completely.
