Clean water for Kasanje village

Kasanje is a hillside village of 1,800 people on the western edge of Wakiso. The nearest safe water is a 4 kilometre walk down a steep ridge — a walk children make twice a day before and after school.

Water-borne illness is the single largest cause of missed school days in the area. Our proposed borehole would serve every household in the village and the two nearby primary schools.

Construction takes 8 weeks once funded. The well becomes the property of the village water committee, with a long-term maintenance plan led by our Mukono engineer.
